“Han”(Cold) symbolizes nowadays lifestyle dominated by rationality, technology and data, while “Re” (Warm) refers to individual’s internal need for emotion, warmth and connection.
“HAN RE WANG LAI” aims to present an interactive model of era-crossing thinking pattern. When modern meets tradition, the connection and integration are not only showing an opposite dimension and circulation but also as a dissolved combination of Yin and Yang.
The production of this series of hand-made candle porcelain can be traced back to the traditional ceramic firing technology in Ling‘Nan area, one of the three major porcelain production capitals in China.
The hand-made ceramics in Dehua county (Fujian, Quanzhou) was rising in Tang and Song dynasties, thriving in Ming and Qing, Dehua porcelain has the characteristics of light white color, plump glaze layer, and is given a special name “Chinese White”.
The visual inspiration of the porcelain surface derives from the traditional meticulous brush painting pattern. The three patterns are respectively the “Ginseng”, “Fairy Peach”, “Landscape”.
Based on that, three corresponding scent correlations were as well designed.
Everyone of oil fragrance candles is carefully hand-poured at OOP atelier focusing on high-quality and small-lot production system, and made from 100% organic wax.
